Known as the "City of Majestic Waterfalls", the City of Iligan in Nothern Mindanao celebrates every month of September the Diyandi Festival. It is the biggest and most colorful of all celebrations in Iligan City. The festival got its name from a local term "diyandi" which means "to celebrate" and is used by the locals to refer to the celebration of the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel.
Many activities are lined-up for the whole month of September each year for the Diyandi Festival and just like the past years, one of the most anticipated event this Diyandi Festival 2013 is the Kasadya Streetdancing Competition and also the Tartanilla Painting Contest.
