The Municipality of Glan in Sarangani Province famous for its white sand beaches celebrates every month of October the colorful Lubi-Lubi Festival.
Set every 8th of October, Lubi-Lubi Festival celebrates Glan, Sarangani's major product - the coconut. Almost 90% of Glan's total land area is planted with coconut making the town as the top producer of coconut in Sarangani. The main attraction during the week-long Lubi-Lubi Festival is the street dancing competition wherein groups dressed in colorful costumes made from indigenous materials specifically from the coconut portrays through dances a particular old religious or animistic belief of the people of Glan about the coconut tree.
