Thousands of Filipinos were left homeless, hundreds are feared dead and others were still missing after super typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) hit the Philippines.
Most affected regions were in the Visayas and in the northern part of Mindanao.
Authorities said that it was one the most powerful typhoons recorded in the world's history with maximum sustained winds of around 315 kilometres (195 miles) an hour.
