We are pleased to announce the winners of the I Love Maitum Online Photo Contest. The contest which we run in partnership with the Department of Tourism Regional Office 12 (DOT-12) from January 31 to February 7, 2014 has received a total of 62 submissions (click HERE to see the entries). Thank you to everyone who supported the contest which is aimed at adding excitement and to best capture the happenings in this year's colorful celebration of Bangsi Festival and the many tourist destinations in Maitum, Sarangani. Our panel of expert judges have chosen the winners based on effectiveness, creativity and photographic quality of each submissions, they are:

Louie Pacardo - a professional photographer, travel blogger at A Nomad's Perspective and a correspondent for BusinessWorld. He is the organizer of the George Tapan "Secrets of the Master" Photography Workshop to be held on May 1-4, 2014 in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. (read HERE)
Genory Vanz Alfasain - is a blogger, photojournalist and a film maker from Alabel, Sarangani. He is the man behind Yadu Karu's Blog and the film "Be'" which was awarded the Best Film award (Sarangani Short Film category) in the recently held Salamindanaw International Film Festival.
Ariel Pascua - is a Certified Public Accountant, and is belong to the new breed of the so called "Bagong Bayani" who find solace in photography. A happy clicker for over 2 years, his works are inspired by Filipino master photographers. He learned from the workshops of artist photographer Maricris Fab-Carlos, Sony ambassador Manny Librodo, Nikon Pro's Parc Cruz, Canon landscape guru's Edwin Martinez and Jay Jallorina, and Jing Gavino. He loves to capture the colors of Philippine Festivals and immersed in varied cultures as portrayed in street dancing.
The winners of the I Love Maitum Online Photo Contest which has two (2) categories - Bangsi festival category and Maitum Destinations/Scenery category, will receive the following prizes:
1st Place - P5,000.00 cash + certificate
2nd Place - P3,000.00 cash + certificate
3rd Place - P2,000.00 cash + certificate
