The town of Glan in Sarangani Province known for its white sand beaches in Gumasa and being the venue for the biggest annual beach party in Mindanao - the recently held Sarangani Bay Festival (SarBay Fest), is also the oldest town in Sarangani. This year, Glan is celebrating its centennial year.
With the theme, "GLAN: A Century of Sharing, Caring Among One People, One Culture...", the municipal government have lined up activities for the commemoration of Glan's centennial founding anniversary on October 8, 2014, preparations are also underway.
Last year, the municipal government have already unveiled their centennial logo, and just recently the calendar of activities was released.

| Glan Centennial Logo features a half-cut coconut shell with the statue of the pioneering batch of the town’s Christian settlers who came to Glan on October 8, 1914. The coconut being the main product of Glan is regarded as the foundation of the town’s development over the years and also symbolizes the zeal and perseverance of the people. |
