Mayor Yap in his message invited everyone to take part in the celebration by participating in various activities the municipal government has prepared. More or less P8 million has been allocated by the municipal government for the historic event.
The Municipality of Glan will turn 100 years old on October 8, 2014.
The town is the leading producer of copra in the region with almost 90% of its land area planted with coconuts. Glan also boasts of its white-sand beaches and hosts the Sarangani Bay Festival or Sarbay Fest which is considered the biggest beach party in the country.
