Kariton Festival is a celebration in Tupi, South Cotabato every 1st week of October highlighting the parade of Karitons (wooden carts) pulled by either a cow or a carabao made of indigenous materials bedecked with flowers, fruits and vegetables. Kariton Festival has given the essence of the importance of Karitons in the lives of the residents of Tupi, South Cotabato. The week-long festivity showcases the farm products brought by the Karitons from the farm and the role of Kariton in making livelihood of their old and the empowerment of the women in helping and providing livelihood.
