You cannot spend just one or two days in this beautiful region of the Philippines; to truly experience South Cotabato, you will need to spend at least a week here. You might have to book a few extra nights in your hotel or extend the time on your Parking 4 Less ticket, but you'll find it is worth it in the end. If you are a first time visitor of South Cotabato, then here are a few excellent destinations you won't want to miss.

Dole Plantations and Mt. Matutum

The majestic Mt. Matutum boasts the pineapple plantations of the multinational company DOLE Philippines. It stretches a staggering 12,000 hectares, making it the largest pineapple plantation in the country. Right in the heart of the pineapple plantation lies a gorgeous residential village which is home to a 9-hole golf course and the Dole Kalsangi Clubhouse, which is famed for its succulent steaks.

Visit the animals

If you're an animal-lover then why not take a trip to Tupi, home to the wonderful Tarsier Sanctuary? Here you can get up close and personal with the world's tiniest primate known locally as Tukal mal.

Lake Sebu

Couples will enjoy a romantic boat ride along the stunning Lake Sebu. But for adrenaline junkies, Lake Sebu is home to one of the most thrilling and adrenaline pumping rides about. After being strapped in, the ride takes you above three of the seven falls of Lake Sebu at 100-120 kph. You'll feel like you are defying gravity and you swoop across the rushing waterfalls below.
