Tacurong City is all set for the celebration of its 64th Foundation Anniversary or Tacurong Day on Monday, August 3. The celebration will also mark the opening of Talakudong Festival 2015.
Activities for Tacurong Day will start at 6 AM with the Color Ceremony, to be followed by a parade dubbed "Parada Sang Barangay" and a thanksgiving mass at the City Cultural and Sports Center.

The Tacurong Day program will then follow at around 10 AM to be highlighted by a cultural presentation by Tribu Kudong, last year's Talakudong Festival Street Dancing and Showdown champion, the opening of Sulong Tacurong or the 6th City Business Week and the awarding ceremonies for Tacurong City's top taxpayers, Busog Lusog Talino (BLT) stakeholders, Agri-fair contest winners and Parada sang Barangay special awards.
In the afternoon, there will be an Inter-Barangay Singing Competition to be followed by the Headgear Parade, and the presentation of candidates for this year's Mutya ng Tacurong pageant.
The declaration of the opening of Talakudong Festival 2015 will be at around 6:30 PM.
Talakudong Festival is Tacurong City's biggest annual event. It will run until September 18, which is Tacurong's cityhood anniversary.
