At least 10,000 Kidapaweños are expected to dance to the tune of Cha-cha-cha on February 2016 as LGU-Kidapawan is set to attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the largest Cha-cha-cha dance. This was announced on December 9, 2015 by Kidapawan City Tourism on their Facebook account.
As of writing, the largest cha cha cha dance according to Guinness involved 3,379 participants and was achieved by Edgefield Primary School in Punggol, Singapore, on 17 July 2011. The 3,379 participants were Edgefield Primary School pupils, staff and parents and members of neighbouring schools and companies.
