Facing stiff competition from top street dancing contingents from different parts of Mindanao, Kiamba's Timpuyog Festival emerged as this year's champion in the recently held Indak-Indak Sa Kadalanan, the street dancing competition of Kadayawan Festival in Davao City.
Represented by students from James L. Chiongbian National Trade School (JLCNTS), Timpuyog Festival showcased in their performances the colorful culture and unity of the tri-people of Kiamba - the Lumads, Muslims and Christians.
The group which joined the competition for the first time bested other 14 contingents who competed in this year's Kadayawan Festival street dancing competition and bagged the top prize of P500,000. They also received the Best in Musicality Award.
