September 12 is a regular holiday for Eid'l Adha

This was after Malacañang Palace issued Proclamation No. 56 last September 5 declaring the said date a regular holiday throughout the country for Eidul Adha or "Feast of Sacrifice" of our Muslim brothers and sisters.

During Eidul Adha, Muslims gathers at the mosque for morning prayers, make sacrifices, spends time with family and friends, gives to charity, eat and exchanging gifts.

According to a report by Al Jazeera, the annual Eidul Adha is said to start on September 12, after religious authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia failed to sight the moon on September 1. Eidul-Adha is Islam's holiest festival celebrated annually around the world.
