Tree growing and planting activities are set in Cotabato Province this coming month of June in celebration of the province's 100th founding anniversary.![]()
Dubbed as "100 Years Celebration - Tree Growing Festival", thousands of trees will be planted in three strategic areas in the province namely: Mt. Akir-Akir in Barangay Makarayag, Pigcawayan; Lake Malingling in Barangay Ganatan, Arakan; and in Kulaman Water Shed Area (Pisan Caves) in Barangay Pisan, Kabacan on June 13, June 20 and June 27, 2014, respectively.
The activities will be participated by different sectors and stakeholders from the academe, business, NGO's, mountaineering and environmental groups, and many more.
