The Donaire vs. Vetyeka match for the World Boxing Association featherweight world title was cut short in the fifth round after officials stopped the fight and decided to go to the score cards. The technical decision was made due to a cut on Donaire's left eyebrow, which was earlier caused by a head butt.
All three judges in the said Donaire vs. Vetyeka match unanimously scored the fight 49-46 in favor of the "Filipino Flash".
