The Araw ng Cotabato 2014 Online Photography Contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers and hobbyists, whether based in Cotabato City or anywhere in the Philippines and abroad but who has been to Cotabato City and taken photos during the celebration of Araw ng Cotabato 2014.
THEME
“It’s More Fun in Cotabato City”
- A participant must submit a fun photo taken from any of the activities of Araw ng Cotabato 2014 slated from June 12- 20. The images should be able to depict the fun being experienced by anybody during the celebration.
- Each participant must submit a minimum of three (3) entries and a maximum of five (5) photo entries that conform to the theme.
- Entries to be submitted should be in FULL COLOR.
- Photos in Black and White or in Sepia are not allowed.
- Participant should provide the following information together with his/her entry:

- Nudity, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, gruesome, and violent photos are automatically disqualified.
- PARTICIPANT MUST KEEP HIS/HER ENTRIES AS PURE AS HE/SHE CAN. Only basic enhancements like cropping, resizing, and minor adjustments in brightness and contrast will be allowed. Digitally enhanced, manipulated photos and those applied with special effects will not be allowed.
- Photos should not include watermarks, frames, or other markings on the photo, such as the date and time of the entry.
- All entries must be the original work and owned by the participant and must not have been used or published in any media or posted online for whatever purpose.
- Submission should be at the highest possible resolution and quality or atleast 1,600 pixels at one side. Acceptable formats will be jpg or png files.
- All entries must be submitted through email -- nanardxz@gmail.com not later than 12 MN of June 23, 2014.
- The organizer reserves the right to cancel the contest in the event that an insufficient number of entries of suitable quality are submitted.
- All submitted entries, winning or non-winning, shall become property of Department of Tourism XII and maybe published or used for promotional purposes by the organizer and DOT-12 with due acknowledgement of the original owner.
- The top twenty (20) entries determined by a panel of of judges will be uploaded on “The 12th Paradise, Region 12, Philippines” Facebook page on June 25, 2014. All other photo entries will likewise be posted on a separate album on June 30, after the voting period for Most Popular Photo Award.
- The Most Popular Photo Award is a separate competition. Photo with the most number of Facebook “Likes” after the voting period will win the award.
- Online voting for the “Most Popular Photo Award” will start immediately on June 25, 2014 until midnight of June 29, 2014.
- The final Twenty entries will enter the second round of the competition and the TOP 5 will be determined according to the following criteria that are also used in the selection of the Top 20:
- The entries shall be judged based on the following criteria:
Photographic quality 30%
Relevance to the theme 40%
- The decision of the board of judges is final and not appealable.

Second Prize - P3,000.00 and certificate
Third Prize - P2,000.00 and certificate
Consolation prizes - Two (2) winners of P1,000.00 each
