Glan Centennial Online Photography Contest

In line with the 100th founding anniversary of the Municipality of Glan in the Province of Sarangani, the Department of Tourism Regional Office 12 (DOT-12) is holding another online photography competition. This is for all photography enthusiasts who will be attending the various activities during the Glan Centennialv celebration set from September 24- October 8, 2014.

CONTEST MECHANICS

CATEGORIES
Category 1: Street Dancing

• Colorful takes on the two street dancing competitions on October 7 covering the local competititon (Lubi-Lubi sa Glan) and open competition on October 8 (Sangandaan sa Glan).

Category 2: Glan at 100/ Sidelights

• Exciting events and human interest such as photographs taken during the span of the Glan Centennial celebration happening around the calendar of events from September 24- October 8, 2014. 

WHO CAN JOIN

• The photo competition is open to all amateur or professional photographers, 18 years old and above.

SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES
1.SUBMIT ONLY YOUR BEST SHOTS. Each participant is allowed to submit a maximum of three (3) photo entries in each category.
2. Entries to be submitted should be in FULL COLOR. Photos in Black and White or in Sepia are not allowed.
3. IMPORTANT. Participant should provide the following information together with his/her entry.

• A description of not more than 100 words:
• Name of the Participant:
• Address and Contact Number: (will not be published) 

4. Nudity, vulgar, obscene, scandalous, gruesome, and violent photos are automatically disqualified.
5. Photos should not include watermarks, frames, or other markings on the photo, such as the date and time of the entry.
6. All entries must be the original work and owned by the participant and must not have been used or published in any media or posted online for whatever purpose.
7. Submission should be at the highest possible resolution and quality or atleast 1,600 pixels at one side. Acceptable formats will be jpg or png files.
8. All entries must be submitted through email -- nanardxz@gmail.com not later than 12 MN of October 12, 2014.
9. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the contest in the event that an insufficient number of entries of suitable quality are submitted.
10. All submitted entries, winning or non-winning, shall become property of the Department of Tourism XII and maybe published or used for promotional purposes by the organizer and DOT-12 with due acknowledgement of the original owner.

JUDGING
1. All entries will be uploaded at “The 12th Paradise in Region 12, Philippines” Facebook page on October 15, 2014.
2. Online voting (Facebook Likes) for the “Most Popular Photo” Award will start immediately on October 15 until midnight of October 20, 2014.
