Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo won the Best Picture award besting the other seven (7) MMFF 2014 entries. The film starred by Robin Padilla which played the character of Andres Bonifacio also received the most number of awards.
Jennylyn Mercado (English Only, Please) and Lotlot de Leon (Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2) were proclaimed Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively. The Best Actor award was awarded to Derek Ramsay from the entry English Only, Please, while Joey Marquez of Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2 won the Best Supporting Actor award.
Eat Bulaga's child wonder Ryza Mae Dizon (My Big Bossing) was also named Best Child Performer for this year's Metro Manila Film Fest.
