Boxing icon and Sarangani lone district Congressman Manny Pacquiao is running for senator in the 2016 elections.
“In the coming days, I will be embracing new levels of responsibility. I will be confronting tough challenges,” announced Manny Pacquiao before his constituents and allies during his State of the District Address held at the Sarangani Capitol Gym in Alabel on Monday, October 5, 2015.
Pacquiao also reported some of his achievements and accomplishments during his terms as congressman.

Manny Pacquiao is the vice chairperson of the Committee on Aquaculture and Fisheries Resources and Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs.
The two-term congressman of Sarangani has also sponsored a total of 26 house measures and co-authored 72 others.
