Preparations are on going for the forthcoming Kasadya sa Timpupo Festival 2016 in the City of Kidapawan scheduled from August 19- 30.
Just like the previous celebrations, visitors can expect overflowing supply of delectable fruits for this year's Timpupo Festival including bananas, durian, lanzones, mangosteen, marang, pomelo and rambutan, among others.

Timpupo is a Visayan term for harvest season in Cotabato Province. The festival aims to showcase the booming fruit industry in Kidapawan City touted as the "fruit basket of Central Mindanao."
Below is the schedule of activities for this year's Kasadya sa Timpupo Festival:
As shown highlights include the Fruit Congress on August 19; Timpupo Festival Costume Parade, Opening Program, Timpupo Poster Making Contest, Pet Show and Search for Binibining Kalikasan on August 20; Parlor Games, Fruits Eat-All-You-Can, Zumba Fun Run and Live Band Performances on August 21; IP Day and Tribal Parade, Tribal Culinary and Souvenir Item Contest, and Horse Fight on August 22; the Manny Pacquiao Blow By Blow Professional Boxing on August 23; and Kidapawan City's Guinness World Record attempt on largest Cha-Cha happening on August 30.
Also part of this year's celebration is the Timpupo Festival 2016 Photography Competition hosted by the Department of Tourism Regional Office 12 (DOT-12) where photographers in Kidapawan City and its neighboring places are encouraged to participate in the celebration, take pictures of the different activities as well as the different tourist attractions in the city.
