Malacañang has declared September 19, 2016 as a special non-working holiday in the City of Tacurong which will celebrate its 16th Cityhood Anniversary and and the culmination of Talakudong Festival 2016 on September 18, a Sunday.
Proclamation No. 30, signed by Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea on August 4, said the holiday was declared to give the residents of Tacurong City the "full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies."
After 16 years, it is now one of the most progressive cities in Mindanao.
