Lubi- Lubi Festival 2014 Street Dancing Competition Winners

Thousands of spectators, tourists and local residents line the streets of Glan, Sarangani on October 7 and 8 for the main highlight of Lubi-Lubi Festival and Glan Centennial celebration - the street dancing competition.

This year, street dancing competition was made bigger and more colorful with Glan celebrating its 100th foundation anniversary. It was divided into two categories namely the Lubi-Lubi sa Glan Street Dancing Competition which was participated by different schools from all over the Municipality of Glan, and the open category dubbed as Sangandaan sa Glan, participated by six (6) contingents from different parts of Mindanao.

The Lubi-Lubi sa Glan Street Dancing Competition was held on October 7 with five competing groups wearing costumes made from different parts of coconut, the primary produce of Glan. Entries competed for the top prize of P300,000. These were Baliton National High School, Glan School of Arts and Trade, Lenard Young Sr. National High School, Glan Padidu National High School and Notre Dame of Glan.

In the open category, the Sangandaan sa Glan Street Dancing competition, six contingents showcasing different festivals competed for the grand prize of P400,000. The competition was held on October 8. Entries includes Edwards National High School from Tboli, South Cotabato, Christian School of Polomolok and Polomolok National High School, Matiao National High School from Mati City, Fatima National High School from General Santos City, Green Valley College - Glan Campus and Notre Dame of Glan.
